Hello 2025

This past year marked the beginning of our real estate journey, as an independently-owned, Hasley Canyon based brokerage.  2024 has been an incredible start, as we set out to define a new standard in the real estate community, with premier standards, straightforward client services pricing, and our deep love of real estate at our core.
 
As we dip into 2025, we are excited for an increasingly active spring real estate market (see below), expanding the 35 Oaks team and property in the near future (announcements shortly!), working with more of our law enforcement clients, and sharing some new Hasley Canyon and Santa Clarita Valley listings.  
 
With sincere gratitude, thank you for your support and partnership throughout the past year.  35 Oaks exists because we love real estate and enjoy supporting our community with their real estate pursuits...and we couldn't have done it without you ❤️

Spring 2025 Real Estate - Let's go!
 
As we inch through our dry Southern California winter, with spring on the horizon, we are excited to see what the upcoming warmer and more active real estate months have to bring to our local market and economy.  After the boom of real estate during the pandemic, where low interest rates and a frenzy of buyers flooded the market, we have seen a slower pace as of the past eighteen months.  Interest rates rode between 5-7% and many consumers, as both buyers and property sellers, held off on entering the market for a variety of reasons.  Supply has remained relatively low and properties have been sitting on the market for 60-90 days.  With all that said, we are really looking forward to the energy that a spring market should provide.  It is anticipated that many sellers may soon list their properties - keep in mind, these are the same sellers who have been standing by as they observe potential buyers having to contend with a 7% mortgage, and if they purchased during the pandemic, there is a fair chance this same seller is holding onto a 2% interest rate themselves, which can be difficult to walk away from.  On the other side of the market, there is a pool of buyers who have been patiently watching rates and sincerely hoping for things on the financial side to improve.  Should rates stabilize slightly and more inventory floods the market, we will all hopefully see some renewed energy and activity in the real estate world, consistent with the time of growth and rebirth that spring itself symbolizes.
